PASTOR DAVE SCHENK
Pastor Dave Schenk had a career in the field of education for thirty-seven years. He accepted Christ as his Savior in April 1991, after years of prayer and love from Bea, who was already a
Christian. After turning his life over to Jesus, God worked a mighty change in Dave’s life, and began working in his heart to become involved in ministry. He led Bible studies at the Atlantic
City Rescue Mission and at Calvary Chapel Vineland, where he and Bea worshipped for 11 years. Dave also served as Assistant Pastor at Maranatha-By-The-Sea in Ocean City, NJ from 1995-1999.
After retiring from the teaching profession in 2009, Dave’s goal was to be more involved in full-time ministry, and soon after, he received the call to come to Cape May, where he began to serve
in February 2010.
In addition to his degrees in education, Dave has a Bachelor’s of Ministry degree, and is currently pursuing his Master’s degree in Theology. Pastor Dave has a real heart for reaching the
community for Christ, as well as grounding new believers in the faith.
ASST. PASTOR MARK CHRISTOPHER
Assistant Pastor Mark Christopher had a 40+ year career in Cosmetology. He was saved from the sin of addiction in May 1983 and married his wife Renee in 1986. In 1988, while in a 12 step
Fellowship Program, he was called by God into ministry. He was blessed to be able witness to many addicts and was also blessed to be able to bring many of them to the Lord.
Mark's passion for Jesus led him to feeding the homeless, street witnessing, and charitable acts with many organizations such as St Jude's for Children, Deborah Heart and Lung, Temple Woodhaven
for Special Needs, while continually giving credit to Christ. He has taught, as well as hosted, a number of In House Bible Studies over the years while living in Philadelphia, witnessing
and teaching people who struggled with the sin of addiction.
Mark has studied under Pastor Joe, at Calvary Chapel Philadelphia for many years and in 2012, he began to study under Pastor Lloyd, of Calvary Chapel Old Bridge. He was drawn by the Lord to
Calvary Chapel Cape May, where Pastor Dave allowed him to play drums as part of the Music Ministry. This led into the Freedom Through Christ ministry, where he is teaching that true freedom
from sin comes through Jesus Christ.
Mark has a heart for the brothers and sisters who struggle with sin of addiction.
